Civilian Wives vs. Military Wives!

Civilian wives will get angry and snotty if your child is misbehaving, military wives will come outside yell at your kid and then let you know they did it

Civilian wives will tell a neighbor child to go home when dinner is ready, military wives expect that all children in their home will be eating with them

Civilian wives get angry if their husband is late and doesn’t call, military wives are grateful if they get a call this week

Civilian wives expect their casserole dish to be returned, military wives aren’t exactly sure who owns what

Civilian wives think men look good in uniforms, military wives think one man looks good in a uniform

Civilian wives get excited when the doorbell rings, military wives don’t

Civilian wives ask their friends if they can help, military wives don’t give their friends the option

Civilian wives get annoyed when plans change, military wives are surprised when they don’t

Civilian wives ask if their child can come play, military wives call and say “Hey is my kid over there?”

Civilian wives get angry when they trip over their husbands shoes, military wives would do anything to have to pick up their husbands boots

Civilian Wives hate their husbands’ stinky shirts, military wives snuggle up to them at night.

This Morning...

Just a funny moment this morning which made me miss my hubby even more. I decided to make biscuits for breakfast since I have been craving apple butter and a cup of coffee. Well when I went to open the apple butter I fought with the thing for 10 minutes...finally getting it open. (Won that battle!) I miss the little things he did such as opening the apple butter. OF course he would have watched me and laughed but offered to help. It's the littlest things that matter....I am sure he will laugh at me when I tell him even.

Have a great Sunday! My will be consumed with finishing my long range plan (yes due tomorrow) and an eye appointment (oh yay! hopefully it solves my focusing issues!)

Who is this? Seriously...The Phone Call

Alright today I went back to work. In the back of my mind all day I was like please let the call be today. Well my wish was granted! At 3:15 as I was getting ready to drop my friend off my phone rings. I didn't know the number and said a quick prayer to let it please be him!

So I answered the phone expecting it to be toll-free call (since I have had them so often it seems frequently). He was like Amie?!? I was like who is this? When he said it was him I was in total shock couldn't believe it and kept saying seriously? Stop playing a joke? Seriously? I am sure my emotions were priceless.

When I finally calmed down we began talking a zillion miles a minute. I don't think I breathed for first part of our call ha. He was told he would have ten minutes so we were zooming with what we wanted to say. In reality we got 33 whole minutes! Now I know that is exact but don't sell me short ha!

It was amazing to hear his voice. I am on cloud 9. I can't wait to get the phone call after BattleStations when he tells me he is a Sailor! I am giddy still! Hearing his voice makes me so happy and comforted! I can't believe how time has flown! In exactly 2 weeks I will be on my way to Chicago to be reunited with the man of my dreams, my knight in shining armor, and my SAILOR!

This was exactly what I needed as motivation to get through these next two weeks!

Sick and Missing Him...

15 days til graduation! I thought it would take forever. The time has been passing fast but I miss him like crazy. To make things even worse is I am sick. I am such a baby when I am sick and wish he was here. Just got home from the doctor and found out I have a bacterial sinus infection and double ear infection yucky.

I did get some more letters from the hubby though! I am depressed that he doesn't get to spend the night off base most likely. How many of your hubbies went straight to school after basic? Is this the procedure? I would think it would be different. I am hoping maybe he heard wrong.

He was on watch last week when the unit got the phone calls home so he missed his...how bad does that suck. He was told he would get one and still has not. I am getting pretty ticked...I mean come on now how hard is it to have him make up the phone call. I know they get Sunday morning off and have some down time-he even told me. Trying to remain positive.

At least in 15 days I will be back in him arms where everything is okay! But in the mean time I am going to get better so I can enjoy my time with him!

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Keeping Busy

Hey! Sorry it has been so long but I have been checking myself busy with the new school year. The past couple of weeks have been intense. This past week I received my first batch of letters for the hubby! What a relief. He said he is enjoying basic (crazy ha) but we are counting down the days until we are reunited.

This past week I got my military id made, my car decal placed on my car, and my first letters! Woohoo! I also ordered my Navy tshirts and Navy wife decal!

To help past time I have been reminiscing about all the fun and hilarious things we have done. I did let him know the house is tooooo quiet at times, I don't have to worry about falling in the toliet when I get up in the middle of the night, and the kitchen counter can be seen since he was famous for piling everything there. However, I can't wait to have him home! Or at least in the same location again!

This weekend for Labor Day I came to visit family! Much needed!

Hope everyone is doing well!
