Sick and Missing Him...

15 days til graduation! I thought it would take forever. The time has been passing fast but I miss him like crazy. To make things even worse is I am sick. I am such a baby when I am sick and wish he was here. Just got home from the doctor and found out I have a bacterial sinus infection and double ear infection yucky.

I did get some more letters from the hubby though! I am depressed that he doesn't get to spend the night off base most likely. How many of your hubbies went straight to school after basic? Is this the procedure? I would think it would be different. I am hoping maybe he heard wrong.

He was on watch last week when the unit got the phone calls home so he missed his...how bad does that suck. He was told he would get one and still has not. I am getting pretty ticked...I mean come on now how hard is it to have him make up the phone call. I know they get Sunday morning off and have some down time-he even told me. Trying to remain positive.

At least in 15 days I will be back in him arms where everything is okay! But in the mean time I am going to get better so I can enjoy my time with him!

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

Keeping Busy

Hey! Sorry it has been so long but I have been checking myself busy with the new school year. The past couple of weeks have been intense. This past week I received my first batch of letters for the hubby! What a relief. He said he is enjoying basic (crazy ha) but we are counting down the days until we are reunited.

This past week I got my military id made, my car decal placed on my car, and my first letters! Woohoo! I also ordered my Navy tshirts and Navy wife decal!

To help past time I have been reminiscing about all the fun and hilarious things we have done. I did let him know the house is tooooo quiet at times, I don't have to worry about falling in the toliet when I get up in the middle of the night, and the kitchen counter can be seen since he was famous for piling everything there. However, I can't wait to have him home! Or at least in the same location again!

This weekend for Labor Day I came to visit family! Much needed!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Day 1

I can honestly say no one ever gave me enough warning about how hard leaving my husband standing outside a hotel waiting for the military process to begin would be. I left in complete break down mode. I began crying as soon as he began packing his bookbag. I couldn't help myself. I thought I would be so much stronger but I should realized that it was reality.
Today was the first day of the 2011-2012 school year. My mind was racing in a million directions today but it kept circling back to my hubby! He began his day on a bus to MEPS at 5 am. He was able to text and me after MEPs to tell me that they were heading to the airport and that his body fat was down 19.5% (amazing!). Once they got to the airport we were able to chat some more since the flight was delayed out of Chicago. However, it was mechanical issues---comforting right?!?! NOT! My stomach has been twisting since I found this out...The flight took out at 8:45 and it suppose to arrive in Chicago at 10:45pm. I am currently sitting on the edge of the couch awaiting the call that he has landed and then I will be waiting the final call from Great Lakes :(.

I am so proud of him but I miss him like crazy.

Chicago Bound

Well the day is here where I will be sending my husband to Chicago for 9 months. I am dredging saying good bye. I hate good byes actually. And to make this even more emotional school starts tomorrow. I am excited for this adventure don't get me wrong but we do everything together. When I say everything I mean it except for work of course. We have the same group of friends, always run errands together, etc. It is going to be a huge adjustment for me since he is the rock of our relationship.

Last night we had a going away party. It didn't really hit me until everyone else started talking about. I guess I had been thinking it will be fine and hearing others say how it will be an adjustment and all it kinda hit me. Do you think the military would be mad if I kept him at home?!? HA! I wouldn't do that but I sure feel like it :)

Guess I better get my writing hand ready to start writing letters. Well I am sure I will be posting soon but its time to do last minute preparation around the house...like bills blah.

Have a great Sunday!

Two Weeks...

So these next two weeks are going to be crazy busy. I am starting back teaching full time next week then the students return on the 15th. The same day, the hubby leaves for basic...take about an emotional wreck :(

I am keeping my mind busy with spending as much time as I can with him and getting ready for school to start. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone. I am so excited to get to know my students and implement all the new curriculum changes with my students! I absolutely love my job!

Over the next two weeks we will be celebrating both of our birthdays and family is coming to visit twice!

For the military wives: how did you cope with your husband being gone? I tell mine so much about my day, funny things the kids did at school, etc?!?!

It feels like yesterday we just started throwing the idea of the military around....

And the job placement is....

Advanced Electronics/Computer Field

So what is that- was my first question. Here is a general definition: The Navy's Advanced Electronics/Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in all aspects of electronics including computer systems, radar, communications systems, and weapons fire control systems such as the Navy's advanced Aegis radar and missile system.

He spend all day at MEPS and I have been up since he left so we are about to call it a night. Maybe this will all sink in tomorrow :)

Let the journey begin!

Signed, Stamped, and Ready for Committement

The day is almost here! This time tomorrow we will know my hubby's job placement and dates for boot camp and location of A school. What an exciting time!

Today we spend the majority of the afternoon in the recruiter's office completing the last measurement, final paperwork and last minute preparations for tomorrow's big events. Boy that was a lot of paper work, recalling dates of employment, birthdays,etc..

I took this picture of the hubby finalizing by signing his life away on the huge amount of paperwork he completed.

I am anxious, excited, nervous, and happy to find out what he will be doing tomorrow! We have been waiting for this day for 6 months so there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Check back tomorrow for an update on his job placement!
